This hospital bed is a newer version of the Hill Rom P1900 TotalCare Sport 2. The Hill Rom P1900 TotalCare Sport 2 bed had many hydraulic parts and those were eliminated when the Hill Rom Progressa bed was made. This hospital bed also includes the pulmonary features “percussion-vibration“, lateral patient turning feature and low air loss. This hospital bed new costs about $80,000. As a full electric medical bed that can come equipped with a foam or internal air mattress system this hospital bed is known as being durable and very reliable. Hill Rom 1170 CareAssist Bed – this bed model came after the Hill Rom P3200 Versacare bed and is one of the newer bed models sold in the used hospital bed market. This bed model was one of the first with a “calf raise” button which was put in the bed to help disperse the weight in the hips and middle section in the body over a wider area. This feature is used to help prevent bed sores and to keep all of the weight from sitting in the tailbone area. Although this bed was designed for a foam mattress you can easily add a low air loss mattress to the foot board for anyone spending a lot of time in bed. The Stryker Secure 2 bed is one of the most popular hospital beds ever sold in the used and refurbished hospital bed market.
